Red Bull Editions: a journey from Glacier Ice to Pistachio
Every autumn, energy drink fans start the same guessing game: what will the new Winter Edition taste like? One year it was pear with cinnamon, another year glacier ice, and in 2026 it is pistachio and berries. Come along on a little journey through the Red Bull Editions, from the first colourful cans to today's flavour.
At a glance
- Editions have the same basic recipe as the classic Red Bull, but a different flavour and their own can colour.
- The current Winter Edition 2026 is called Pistachio & Berries, the Winter Edition 2025 tasted of Fuji Apple & Ginger.
- You can get the Glacier Edition (Glacier Ice Raspberry) at Bodinos as a single can and as a 24-pack tray.
- Older flavours such as Iced Vanilla Berry and Pear Cinnamon are now collector's items.
- All cans are single-use cans with a deposit, and you can only return them in Germany.
What makes an edition an edition?
The classic Red Bull has been around since 1987, at first only in Austria. The first editions followed in 2012 and 2013, three at once: The Red Edition with cranberry, The Silver Edition with lime and The Blue Edition with blueberry.
Since then, there have been two kinds of editions:
- Permanent editions such as The White, The Green or The Blue Edition. They are available all year round.
- Seasonal editions: Winter, Spring and Summer Edition. They come with a new flavour, stay in the shops for a while and are gone once stocks run out.
The seasonal flavours of recent years usually came with sugar and as Sugarfree.
The journey: editions since 2020
Here are the seasonal flavours of recent years at a glance. Can you spot your favourite can?

| 2026 | Spring Edition | Cherry Sakura |
| 2026 | Summer Edition | Sudachi Lime |

Depending on the country, some flavours arrived earlier, later or not at all. And as you can see, some summer flavours were so popular that they stayed.
Winter Edition 2026: pistachio meets berries
The new Winter Edition is called Pistachio & Berries. According to Red Bull, pistachio meets berries, with caramel and nutty, creamy notes. It almost sounds like dessert in a can. It has been on sale since September 2026, with sugar and sugar-free, each in a 250 ml can.
Winter Edition 2025: Fuji Apple & Ginger
In Germany, lots of people search for this one. The Winter Edition 2025 tastes of Fuji apple and ginger with a note of caramel and went on sale on 23 September 2025, with sugar and sugar-free.
Fun fact: the Fuji apple was bred in Japan, in the town of Fujisaki, and came onto the market in 1962. In fact, Red Bull has been tasting of Japan quite a lot lately: Fuji apple was followed by Cherry Sakura and Sudachi Lime.
Glacier Ice: the flavour that came back
The story begins in 2020: that year Glacier Ice came to Germany as the Winter Edition. After that, the flavour disappeared for a while. Red Bull even answers the question “Is Glacier Ice coming back?” in its own entry on its website.
5
years passed between the Glacier Ice Winter Edition in 2020 and its comeback as The Glacier Edition in December 2025.
In December 2025, the flavour returned as The Glacier Edition with glacier ice raspberry, at first only on Amazon and from January 2026 also in selected shops. The Glacier Edition is also only available for a limited time.
Take a look at the 24-pack tray: Father Christmas, a mammoth, a yeti with a guitar and a snowman are celebrating together under the motto “Legenden unter sich” (legends among themselves). Below it, in big letters, it says “Flüüügel”, a wintry play on the well-known slogan.
Spring and summer: cherry blossom, sudachi and peach
The Spring Edition 2026 tastes of cherry and cherry blossom. Sakura is the Japanese word for cherry blossom. It went on sale in mid-February 2026, with sugar and sugar-free.
The Summer Edition 2026 is called Sudachi Lime and comes in a yellow can. Sudachi is a small, green citrus fruit from Japan. Almost the entire Japanese harvest comes from Tokushima Prefecture, and in Japan people like to squeeze the juice over grilled fish or noodles. At Red Bull it meets lime, on sale since 27 April 2026.
The year before, the Summer Edition 2025 was White Peach: white peach with a hint of citrus zest.
Tip: Missed a summer flavour? It is not always gone for good. Cactus Fruit became The Green Edition, Apricot Strawberry is now The Apricot Edition and Juneberry lives on as The Sea Blue Edition.
Iced Vanilla Berry: one can, three names
The Winter Edition 2024 tastes of blueberry and vanilla with an icy fresh eucalyptus note. The name is where it gets funny: depending on the country, the flavour was called Iced Vanilla Berry, Iced Cotton Candy or Iced Gummy Bear. In Austria, for example, it was on the shelves as Iced Gummy Bear.
3
names for one flavour: Iced Vanilla Berry, Iced Cotton Candy and Iced Gummy Bear. Since June 2025 the flavour has been back as The Ice Edition, and in the USA it is called The Iced Edition.

Pear Cinnamon, Fig Apple and other classics
The Winter Edition 2023 tasted of pear with a note of cinnamon, the Winter Edition 2022 of fig and apple with a hint of caramel and winter spices. Today these cans mostly turn up in collections.

Note: With older editions, the best-before date has often already passed. At Bodinos we always say so openly in the product description. We sell Iced Vanilla Berry and Pear Cinnamon as collector's items.
Single can or 24-pack tray?
- Single can (250 ml): to try or for your collection.
- 24-pack tray (24 × 250 ml): if you drink a flavour more often or want a supply.
At Bodinos the Glacier Edition is available in both sizes.

Caffeine: A 250 ml can contains 80 mg of caffeine, as much as the classic Red Bull. High caffeine content. Not recommended for children or pregnant or breast-feeding women (32 mg/100 ml).
