Swatch x Blancpain Arctic Ocean Automatic Watch Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms Collection

This Blancpain X Swatch model pays tribute to the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, the first true diving watch. The case and crown, in a subtle beige tone, are made of Bioceramic. The word “Swatch” is emblazoned on the left outer side of the case. The metal dial is printed in several layers of colour that create a soft gradient. A special symbol adorns the lower part of the dial: a red trefoil on a yellow background, crossed by a white cross. The “NO RADIATIONS” lettering beneath the logo refers to the legendary heritage of the Fifty Fathoms and the rich history of diving watches from the 1960s.

The hour indices, hour and minute hands and the bezel scale are coated with Grade A Super-LumiNova®, ensuring excellent legibility in the dark. The unidirectional rotating Bioceramic bezel in beige and the bio-sourced crystal have a scratch-resistant coating. The mechanical SISTEM51 movement is visible through the transparent sapphire crystal and shows illustrations of the Arctic Ocean as well as a digital print of the sea slug Dendronotus Frondosus. Five inspiring inscriptions can be found on the back of the watch: “PASSION FOR DIVING – LICENCE TO EXPLORE – OCEAN BREATH – PROTECT WHAT YOU LOVE and IMMERSE YOURSELF”.

The NATO strap is made from recycled fishing nets removed from the sea, while the pin buckle and loops are made of Bioceramic.
