This model by Blancpain in collaboration with Swatch pays tribute to the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, regarded as the pioneering diving watch.
The case and crown come in a vibrant yellow and are made of Bioceramic. The “Swatch” logo can be seen on the left side of the case.
The dial is metallic and features multi-layered prints that create an impressive colour gradient effect.
The hour markers, hands and bezel scale are treated with premium Grade A Super-LumiNova®, ensuring outstanding legibility in the dark.
The unidirectional rotating bezel comes in deep black and is also made of Bioceramic. The crystal, made of bio-sourced material, has a scratch-resistant coating.
The mechanical SISTEM51 movement is visible through the transparent sapphire crystal and shows an illustration of the Pacific Ocean as well as a digital image of the sea slug Chromodoris Kuiteri.
The back of the watch bears five inspiring inscriptions: “PASSION FOR DIVING - LICENCE TO EXPLORE - OCEAN BREATH - PROTECT WHAT YOU LOVE AND IMMERSE YOURSELF.”
The NATO strap is made from recycled fishing nets removed from the oceans. The pin buckle and loops are also made of Bioceramic.
