Design & function

The Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold Cold Moon SO33W701L combines the clear white of the Bioceramic construction with a poetic winter aesthetic. The white opaline dial features hour markers treated with Grade A Super-LumiNova® that glow a strong green in the dark. To match, the white rubber strap with VELCRO® fastening creates a harmonious, calm overall look that recalls the composure of astronauts.

The Earth phase indicator at 10 o'clock shows the Earth with oceans that glow an intense blue under UV light. Directly below sit Snoopy and Woodstock in astronaut suits, in a wintry scene with snowy details. An inscription that only becomes visible under UV light pays tribute to the pioneering spirit of the Moonwatch and invites you to see things from a new perspective.

The moon phase indicator at 2 o'clock shows two full moons, both coated with OMEGA Moonshine™ Gold. One moon is designed in the style of the Snoopy universe, while the structure of the other is reminiscent of a snowflake. The snowflake design is created with a laser engraving and turns out slightly different on every watch, so no two models are identical – just as unique as real snowflakes.

The battery cover features an Earth-inspired motif that rounds off the cosmic character of the model.

Cosmic details

The dials across the entire collection bear the OMEGA x Swatch branding, the classic Speedmaster logo and the MoonSwatch logo. Together with the domed, bio-sourced crystal with a finely engraved “S” in the centre, this creates an authentic nod to the design language of the Speedmaster. The outer dial ring features a subtle circular pattern, and the recessed sub-dials deepen the technical character.

The hour markers, hour and minute hands and the tip of the chronograph seconds hand are fully coated with Grade A Super-LumiNova® and glow green in the dark.

Earth phase indicator – a new complication

Introduced in 2024, the Earth phase shows how the Earth appears from the Moon. Its cycle lasts 29.5 days and runs exactly opposite to the moon phases. When the Moon is full, the Earth is “new”, and vice versa. This interplay gives the watch additional narrative depth.
